About this Collaboraton / 
This is a very artistic collaboration between two artists: Seattle-based perfumer Gatsby Yeh and Germany-based goldsmith Barbara Josfeld. This unique hand-crafted bottle was created with inspiration from the story and notes of BURNING PIANO. The burned piano keys and copper strands from the piano retell the dream of the pianist. The cap and bottle are wrapped with a fragment of Frédéric Chopin’s composition.
 
This release includes only 20 bottles in total, and each piece has its own unique personality. It is safely boxed in a hand-tied paper carton and is individually serialized, numbered, and signed by both Gatsby Yeh and Barbara Josfeld. Each bottle was crafted in Germany and filled in Seattle.
 
About Gatsby Yeh /
A dreamer with a background in fine art, design, and illustration — and a self-taught perfumer — Gatsby Yeh was born in Taiwan, educated in San Francisco, and founded his perfumery Nose of Gatsby in Seattle. He cares deeply about fragrance and the stories behind each bottle. Gatsby believes a good perfume offers more than a compliment from a stranger; it can lift the soul and take you on a journey. Since beginning his perfumery journey, he has received multiple nominations and awards — and the story continues.  
 
About Barbara Josfeld /
Barbara Josfeld is a German goldsmith and artist whose career blends craftsmanship, design and teaching. Trained in both the technical and creative aspects of goldsmithing—and later experienced as a social worker—she mastered not only the art of making, but also the art of guiding others. In retirement, she channels this rich background into crafting unique perfume bottles and teaching people how to design their own.
 
Over the past two years, Barbara has created more than 100 one-of-a-kind perfume bottles using an eclectic mix of materials, including concrete, glass mosaic, fabric, painted elements and objects found in nature. Her work reflects a deep curiosity, a playful spirit and a lifelong dedication to creativity, inviting others to explore the beauty of handcrafted design.
 
Notes about this special edition:
*This art-crafted bottle will be slightly different from the one pictured, as each piece is uniquely handmade and composed like free-style music (but in the same rhythm). All 20 bottles vary slightly, and neither the appearance nor the serial number can be selected when purchasing.
 
**The piano keys and wood pieces on the bottle are artistically burned and uncoated. We recommend avoiding contact with delicate or light-colored fabrics after handling, as small amounts of ash may transfer to the nearby surfaces.

BURNING PIANO was inspired by an never awaken artist's dream. It smells bold, artistic, earthy, leathery, and smokey. BURNING PIANO embodies bravery and a touch of vulnerability. It is strong but sensitive. It suits anyone who enjoys warm fragrances, travelers, and modern city walkers. 
 
Sometime in the past, an old piano and its pianist were at the end of their lives. This talented, mature but not known pianist decided to play the last song on the piano. At the end of the song, the pianist's dream and the piano ended in the flame. In the blaze, copper strains, maple wood, sweat and tears, ambition, and dreams have all vanished from the world.
 
 
The last song was Étude Op. 10, No. 3 by Chopin.
